FAQ - WiFi Controller

When you install your controller in the Smart Life App it is important that your mobile or tablet have a good connection to the internet. Remember that the internet must be 2.4GHz.

If you have moved your controller to a new internet connection, you must go through the installation process again.

In order to use your phone to control the lights, you need to be connected to a 2.4 GHz internet.

Yes, no problem. If you already have 12V LED spots installed and you wish to control them with the app, Google, Amazon or a Kinetic Switch you just have to connect your lights to a SingleWhite Controller.

You should ALWAYS use a non-dimmable driver no matter if you are using a MultiWhite® or a SingleWhite Controller.

No, you do not necessarily have to install the Smart Life App on your phone or tablet. If you only want to control your lights with the Kinetic Switch you just have to connect your lights to the controller and follow this guide for MultiWhite® and this guide for SingleWhite.

Wi-Fi controller communicates with devices through Wi-Fi while the Bluetooth Controller needs a connection to Bluetooth. You cannot connect a Kinetic Switch with a Bluetooth Controller.

With a MultiWhite® Controller you can control the colour temperature (Kelvin). When you can control the colour temperature, you can control whether your lights should have a fresh, white light or a warmer and calmer light. You can adjust this several times a day. In the morning it can be an advantage to have a fresh, white light which prevents your brain to produce anymore somnolent compounds and makes you fresh and ready for the day. However, warm light towards the evening can help you relax and get a better night’s sleep.

SingleWhite Controller cannot control the colour temperature, but you can still dim, turn on and turn off your lights.

If your Controller goes into pairing mode and you want to stop it, you have to leave your Controller be for abour 5 minutes. Afterwards it will go out of pairing mode.

FAQ - Kinetic Switch

Yes, it is. If you have 12V LED spots in your rooms and you want to control them with a Kinetic Switch you simply just connect your lights with the SingleWhite Controller and then connect your SingleWhite Kinetic Switch to the controller. You can now control your lights.

The Kinetic Switch is a wireless and battery less remote control/switch. Due to this you do not have to charge the switch. If you experience that your switch is responding slowly or does not respond, you can try to click several times on the switch. This movement produces energy that your switch can use.

No, you do not necessarily have to install the Smart Life App on your phone or tablet. If you only want to control your lights with the Kinetic Switch you just have to connect your lights to the controller and follow this guide for MultiWhite® or this guide for SingleWhite.

The MultiWhite® Kinetic Switch has two buttons – one which controls dim, turn on, turn off and one which controls the colour temperature (Kelvin).

You can connect up to 10 different Kinetic Switches to one Controller.

Yes, your Kinetic Switch can be connected to several Controllers. You will have to go through the installation proces seperately for each Controller. Follow this guide for MultiWhite® or this guide for SingleWhite.

When you are pairing your Kinetic Switch with a MultiWhite Controller, it is important that you press both keys on the switch – if you only press one of them, the switch will work, but you will not be able to change the colour temperature.

You have to remove the Kinetic Switch from your Controller and pair it again. See the point below on how to remove a Kinetic Switch from a Controller.

To purge the controllers list of paired Kinetic Switches, you need to push the Kinetic Switch 5 times within 5 seconds after powering on the controller. Please note, that this will unpair all kinetic Switches from the controller.

If your lights are turning on even though you turned them off with the Kinetic Switch, it is most likely because you have connected a wrong driver to your Controller. Remember to always use a non-dimmable 12V driver.
